I was Earth but I wanted to be Air
I wanted to drift away, content, care-free
Unburdened, liberated of so many lives weighing me down
Let me let go of responsibility

Give me a sweet breeze to carry me somewhere new
I’d rather have my head in the clouds
Than be grounded, stuck in marshy mud
Heavy is my heart for it carries rocks

Where soil meets sky, where sky meets soil
I’ll stand, longing for the above
Trying my best
Hoping for a way
To escape (please, let me leave) this muck
I’m running out of inspiration. Slowly. Or at the very least, I feel my writing skills slowing down.
